Vintage Finds: Violetville Vintage

April 6, 2008 by Renee Claire

Violetville Vintage

Left to right: 1960s empire dress, 1920s blue silk dress, 1920s black lace dress.

I just discovered eBay store Violetville Vintage (via Popgloss). They have some sweet vintage dresses, good buyer feedback, and reasonable prices (bids start at $25). Has anyone bought from them before?

    Hi,
I’m new to blogging and sites like this but just had to respond. I’m a vintage clothing shopaholic who has purchased numerous items from violetville Vintage. Out of all the vintage clothing/sellers on ebay she has the highest quality items, realistic prices (some are low and some go for quite a bit of money but are worth it). I’ve always found the items I purchased from her to be superior in all aspects and she is an ethical seller (doesn’t pass off kids clothes as vintage xs adult clothes) and doesn’t pass of vintage nigthgowns as dresses! Most of her items are high end vintage wear. One of my all time favorite vintage dresses was from her (over 200$) but totally worth it. If there is a way to post pictures here then let me know and I’ll post pictures of the beauties I won from her! Her accuracy, ethics, clothing and customer service have always been superior in my opinion. I just recently started selling stuff after I wear them since I purchased 1000+ vintage clothing items in the past 1-2 years and have run out of space in my house. I haven’t been able to part with anything I purchased from her because they are so unique and high end. I’d have to say out of the 1000+ items I bought on ebay (all vintage) my favorites where from violetville vintage! I hesistate to say this because now the bids will go up and I’ll have to pay more but she deserves it unlike some big name sellers who will go unnamed that aren’t near as ethical as she is. Please look through my feedback as a buyer and see the sheer volume of clothes I bought and I’d have to say she is the BEST! But if you see a bidder that is something like v**********9 then that is me so please don’t bid against me:) LOL
I’m glad she is getting discovered because she deserves it even if I end up having to pay more! Her clothing are worth it.
    Cheers fellow vintage clothing lovers!

The black dress is really nice! Ebay stores that sell vintage are really great for people who live in areas that do not attract a large amount of good vintage clothing in their thrift stores (ex. Athens, OH) 🙂
