Budget-O-Rama: Jovovich-Hawk for Target

February 4, 2008 by Renee Claire

Jovovich Hawk for TargetIt’s inevitable. As soon as I swear off a category (in this case, Budget Finds), I start finding all sorts of things to post. First up is the preview for Jovovich-Hawk’s GO International collection, out March 2nd. It’s very cute and boho, but you can find similar clothes in thrift stores for less money and possibly in better fabrics. The only piece I’m considering is the chevron-striped scoop neck at left ($17.99)–trendy graphic print, slimming diagonal lines, and it fits in with my current stripes obsession. Check out the collection and let me know what you think!

That collection is lovely, but I agree with you…it seems to be very vintage inspired indeed. And, you *definately* can better looking & better made clothes in the thrift shops or from vintage sellers.
I think I am going to have to try out those jeans, though. :))

I like the J/H design team…but I love vintage ! yup, I agree….the problem is that you can find cute stuff just like that at the thrift….or if you don’t wanna wade thru mountains of yuk, just shop online for vintage 70s…whatever…..billions of those cute boots too. Thanks for posting this…..

Agreed that these collections are often nicer online than in person. The quality of the fabric in the Temperley pieces was especially disappointing.

Yeah, I have issues with Target fabrics in general but if you wash things carefully a very occasional trendy piece is doable. I prefer vintage when I can find it in my size but sometimes you have to Target it up.

I think that this top is adorable and very wearable. Clothes here in Marrakech are so very limited and I am looking like a castaway. Sigh.
